The HI1060-100 by ThorLabs is a single mode fiber that is jacketed with Ø900 µm yellow Hytrel tubing, providing outstanding consistency and uniformity. The HI1060-100 features a dual acrylate coating that delivers superior mechanical robustness, ensuring excellent protection from microbend-induced attenuation. It should be noted that this fiber is 100 m of its HI1060-J9 fiber counterpart.
The HI1060-100 is a preferred component fiber for EDFAs, couplers, circulators, attenuators, and other DWDM components. This fiber comes with a cladding diameter of 125 ± 0.5 μm, a coating diameter of 245 ± 10 μm, and a nominal numerical aperture of 0.14. Furthermore, the HI1060-100 is compatible with the 980 to 1650 nm wavelength range, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of applications.
