The M26L01 by ThorLabs is a fiber patch cable designed for a range of applications in optogenetics, spectroscopy, medical instruments, illumination, and LED energy transmission. Crafted with two straight ferrule SMA905 connectors on both ends, the M26L01 ensures seamless connectivity and optimal performance. With protective caps included, the connector ends are safeguarded against external elements.

The M26L01 boasts a numerical aperture of 0.22 and a length of 1 meter. It is essential to note that this fiber patch cable is not recommended for applications that require fibers to carry high optical powers, as excessive powers can cause the connectors’ used epoxy to experience heating that is catastrophic. However, it is compatible with unconnectorized fibers and high optical powers, making it a versatile solution for various uses. The M26L01 is housed in an orange Ø3 mm PVC furcation tubing, which provides added protection and durability.
