Featuring an easy-to-follow 4-step process that produces a precise 0.5° cleave, the XL411 is an ideal tool for those seeking accuracy and efficiency in their fiber cleaving process. The intuitive process is clearly indicated on the instrument, ensuring ease of use for both experienced and novice users alike. Unlike traditional rotating cleavers, which access the fiber from the side, the XL411 cleaves the fiber from the top with its flat blade, resulting in the best cleave possible. The flat, rectangular blade allows for the point of contact between the blade and fiber to be adjusted, reducing blade wear and providing up to 5000 cleaves per blade.

The XL411 also boasts a precision mechanical design that enables quick and precise blade replacement in any location. This ensures minimal downtime during maintenance and allows for uninterrupted use of the instrument. The XL411 is compatible with standard Ø125 µm cladding and buffers ranging from Ø250 to Ø900 µm. Additionally, it can be used with a ribbon fiber option when used with a compatible adapter plate.
