The ThorLabs S120C is a top-of-the-line photodiode power sensor designed for a wide range of optical measurements. Its compact design makes it an excellent choice for use in tight spaces, while its high sensitivity photodiode and large active area allow for power measurements up to 50 mW in both free-space and fiber-based applications.
The S120C is particularly well-suited for low power coherent and incoherent sources, spanning from the ultraviolet to the near-infrared range. It boasts a host of features including an integrated viewing target for effortless alignment, enhanced shielding against electromagnetic interference, an over temperature alert device, and a large 9.5 mm sensor aperture. To ensure accurate measurements, the S120C includes a removable annular VIS/IR viewing target that enables easy centering of the measured beam to the active area of the photodiode. The target is designed to absorb light in the 400 to 640 nm and 800 to 1700 nm ranges.
The housing of the S120C comes equipped with a threaded input in axis with the light input aperture that is compatible with a range of 1” threaded accessories. This allows for easy mounting of external optics, fiber adapters, light filters, and apertures. Additionally, the sensor features #8-32 and M4 threaded mounting holes to accommodate posts and post holders. For even more versatility, the S120C can be mounted in a 30 mm cage system using a compatible cage system optic mount with internal SM1 threading.
