The COP1-A by ThorLabs is a collimation adapter that is the perfect solution for achieving optimal collimation with Olympus BX & IX microscopes. It should be noted that due unique optical design of the transmitted lamphouse port of the BX and IX microscopes, a separate adjuster may be required to ensure optimal performance with the COP1-A adapter. The COP1-A features a high-quality Ø50 mm AR-coated aspheric condenser lens, specifically designed to collimate the output from mounting LEDs. With an AR coating of 350 - 700 nm, this adapter delivers exceptional performance across a broad range of wavelengths.
The housing of the COP1-A is designed with a bayonet or dovetail mount, allowing for seamless integration with the illumination port on a compatible microscope. Additionally, the COP1-A can be easily fitted with an LED source using an SM2T2 or SM1A2 adapter, making it incredibly versatile for a range of applications. Switching between LED sources is a breeze with the COP1-A – simply unscrew the LED housing and attach the new source.
