The ITC133 by ThorLabs is a laser diode and temperature controller that serves as an exceptional solution designed to provide superior laser emission stability in OEM applications. The ITC133 features a compact 100 mm x 160 mm Euro-board that integrates a low-noise, low-drift current source and a precise TEC controller, making it easy to integrate into products or systems that require consistent laser emission.
The ITC133 supports both constant current (CC) and constant power (CP) modes, making it highly versatile. It also accommodates all laser and monitor diode polarities (CG/AG) and utilizes a 15-pin D-Sub connector for laser interfacing, enabling effortless connection to external control signals. The ITC133's fixed-ground-level design significantly improves noise, transient suppression, and output stability, ensuring reliable and consistent performance.
The ITC133 temperature controller includes a full PID feedback loop with independent P, I, and D settings, which can be individually optimized. This system is compatible with a selection of temperature-measuring products, including thermistors and the AD590 Temperature Transducer. Access to output signals, analog control inputs, power supply connections, temperature sensors, and thermoelectric cooler components is provided through a standard 64-pin PCB connector. The controller supports many standard pin configurations, making it easy to integrate into a variety of systems. The ITC133 has put in place various security protocols, making it convenient and safe to work with semiconductor laser diodes. Protective features include a temperature window for the laser diode, an interlock system, overtemperature protection, hardware limitation of TEC and laser current, and soft start. The controller can deliver a maximum laser current of 3A.
