The ThorLabs TLD001 is a versatile and high-precision T-Cube laser diode controller that is specifically designed to drive a wide range of semiconductor laser diodes. The TLD001 supports operating currents of up to 200 mA, with a high compliance voltage of 8 Volts, making it suitable for a wide range of laser diodes. This controller offers both constant current and constant power operating modes while having the capacity to operate as a standalone device or via a USB interface for easy PC control.

The TLD001 is compact with dimensions of 120mm x 60mm x 47mm (4.8" x 2.4" x 1.8") and has the option to directly mount to the optical table. The manual controls are conveniently located on the upper surface, including a 5 digit 7 Segment display, adjustment potentiometer, Mode, Display, and Laser ON buttons, as well as a safety key switch for added security in laser applications. The TLD001 can be set to control either the injection current or the optical output power of the laser diode, and the Mode and Display buttons allow for easy selection of various operating modes.

Designed specifically for use with a TTC001 TEC controller and LDM21 mount, the TLD001 provides a complete temperature-controlled laser diode driver system. It is also compatible with high-power laser diode mounts and an LM14S2 mount when driving diodes up to 200 mA. The TLD001's USB connectivity allows for plug and play PC-controlled operation, and it comes with the user-friendly APT™ software that enables seamless interfacing with the motion control units in the APT family. A single PC is capable of connecting multiple units through USB hub technology for multi-axis motion control applications.

The TLD001 is compatible with all laser diode pin configurations, and it offers low noise of <3.0 μA, ensuring reliable and precise performance. It also comes with reliable laser diode protection features, including a safety enable key switch and a laser safety interlock facility, providing an added layer of safety for your laser applications. The TLD001 is designed to work with a variety of power supply options, including single channel, multi-channel, or hub-based, depending on your specific application and power supply availability.
