The ThorLabs APY001 is an exceptional adjustment platform that provides precise pitch and yaw adjustment around the optical axis. This innovative platform has been designed for use with RollerBlock, MicroBlack, and NanoMax 3-axis stages, making it a versatile and essential addition to any optical system. The APY001 platform is an excellent choice for many scenarios, such as connecting cables at oblique angles and placing components that need moderate accuracy and manual adjustment of the angular plane. With a thumbscrew drive, the APY001 allows for easy adjustment up to ±4° per axis with an impressive accuracy of 10 arcsec.

The APY001 comprises a pitch and yaw platform, along with a mounting post, that can be directly mounted to an optical table. The top surface is positioned at the appropriate deck height, making it easy to attach mating components for precise adjustment in pitch and yaw. The mounting post produces an optical height of 75 mm, including a 62.5 mm post and a 12.5 mm accessory height, as shown in the accompanying image. Alternatively, the APY001 can be detached from the post and fixed directly to the stage, replacing the standard top plate. This allows components mounted on the stage to be adjusted in pitch and yaw, and raises the optical axis height by 15 mm, from 75 mm to 90 mm. With an angle bracket and spacer block kit, the mating components can be raised to the same height, offering maximum flexibility and convenience.
