The ThorLabs LX20/M is an XY Translation Stage, designed to be the perfect solution for those seeking precise and reliable motion control in their laboratory experiments. With a travel range of 25mm and less than 125µrad of deviation per axis in pitch and yaw along the X and Y axes, the LX20/M provides superior performance in a compact, monolithic design.

The LX20/M can be easily attached to a breadboard or optical table using four counterbored 1/4" (M6) holes that are revealed by simply translating the middle plate. This ensures a secure and stable setup for your experiment. The micrometer attached to the plate blocks one of the mounting holes beneath it, but with a quick removal, the hole is easily accessible. Additionally, the base of the stage has four Ø2.4mm alignment holes for use with Ø3/32" dowel pins. For added security against accidental movement, the LX20/M is lockable via a side-located 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex screw in a locking bracket.

To provide precision motion and high load capacities, the LX20/M uses crossed-roller steel bearings. The monolithic top and bottom plates feature integrated micrometer mounts and are machined from cast tool and jig aluminum, which offers high stability and minimal internal stress. The LX20/M comes equipped with a metric micrometer head with 500 µm of travel per revolution for each axis. The micrometer can be translated using the knurled knob or, for finer control, a 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex key. For added convenience, the micrometer can be removed and replaced by loosening the side-located flexure clamp with a 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex key. This flexure clamp can hold any micrometer that has a Ø3/8" (Ø9.5 mm) mounting barrel.

It's important to note that the LX20/M is designed as a standalone stage with a specific number of axes. Single-axis stages cannot be combined into multi-axis stages and multi-axis stages cannot be disassembled into single-axis stages, unlike other modular, multi-axis stages.
