The PT1 by ThorLabs is an advanced 1” translation stage that is designed to deliver precise, reliable, and versatile performance for a wide range of scientific and industrial applications. The PT1 features a 150-811ST micrometer drive that offers a generous 1.00" travel range, with engraved graduations every 0.001" for accurate and repeatable motion control.

One of the standout features of the PT1 is its hardened steel bearings, which provide exceptional durability and longevity, ensuring that the stage can withstand frequent use and remain in excellent condition for years to come. Additionally, the stage comes equipped with a base plate that allows for easy mounting onto a breadboard or optical table, making it a versatile and convenient tool for any laboratory or research facility. The PT1 also includes two alignment dowel pins, along with sixteen 1/4"-20 (M6) tapped mounting holes that are 0.22" (5.8 mm) deep. These dowel pins enable the stage to be stacked in both left-handed and right-handed configurations with an orthogonality of <5 mrad.

The PT1 is designed to be directly attached to a mounting adapter or a metric or imperial breadboard using two oversized 1/4" (M6) counterbores and user-supplied cap screws. Additionally, the PT1 can be configured with an adjuster screw, standard manual micrometer, or differential adjuster, providing the user with a range of options for controlling and fine-tuning the motion of the stage. If it is necessary to remove the actuator from the translation stage, it can be done quickly and easily by loosening the screw on the barrel clamp with a 3/32" (2.5 mm) hex key.
