When using this doublet, it is best to ensure that the side of the lens with the largest radius of curvature is facing away from the collimated beam. This doublet is also engraved with its item number on the edge, making it easy to identify and track. The engraving is oriented so that the text is right side up when the flattest side of the lens is facing downwards.
