The ThorLabs AC300-100-B is an achromatic doublet that has been designed for near-infrared (IR) spectral region applications. This lens is an excellent choice for controlling chromatic and spherical aberration because of its optimized performance at conjugate ratios that are infinite. One of the key features of the AC300-100-B is its design wavelengths of 1015 nm, 855.0 nm, and 706.5 nm that allow for improved performance over singlet lenses.
To ensure that the AC300-100-B performs at its best, it should be positioned so the flattest lens side that has the largest curvature radius is facing away from the direction of the collimated beam. The lens has a diameter of Ø30.0 mm and has the number of the unit engraved on the edge, ensuring easy identification and orientation. The engraving is positioned so that the text can be read from the right-side up when the lens’ flattest side is at the bottom surface. In addition to its superior optical performance, the AC300-100-B is also designed for easy integration into your setup. It can be mounted in a compatible lens mount and has a positive focal length of 100.0 mm.
