The AC058-075-A by ThorLabs is an achromatic doublet that is a high-quality lens designed to deliver exceptional performance in the visible region. With its optimized design, the AC058-075-A utilizes the helium “d” line alongside the hydrogen “F” and “C” lines to accurately represent the visible spectrum and define the Abbe Number of a material.

To ensure the AC058-075-A operates at peak performance, it is essential that the side that has largest radius of curvature, also known as the flattest size, is positioned away from the collimated beam of the lens. This approach ensures the lens delivers the best possible results. This lens is Ø2" in size with its item number engraved on its edge. When the lens’ flattest side is at the bottom surface, this orientation makes it so the text is right-side up. The lens is also compatible with various mounts, but the mount must accommodate its diameter and edge thickness. The AC058-075-A offers an impressive wavelength range of 400 - 700 nm and a focal length of 75 mm.
