The ACN254-050-B by ThorLabs is a cemented achromatic doublet for applications in the near infrared region, ranging from 650 nm to 1050 nm. This doublet is optimized at infinite conjugate ratios and is highly effective at controlling chromatic and spherical aberrations. The ACN254-050-B has design wavelengths at 855.0, 1015 nm, and 706.5 nm, and provides superior performance when compared to its singlet lens counterparts.
The ACN254-050-B doublet has a negative doublet size of Ø1" and a negative focal length of -50.0 mm. Its lens side features the largest (and flattest) radius of curvature, which should be oriented in a direction opposite of the collimated beam for optimal performance. The edge of the ACN254-050-B’s housing is engraved with the item number for easy identification. When the flattest side of the lens is at the bottom surface of the lens, the text on the housing can be found right-side up.
