The AL7560-C by ThorLabs is a superior quality N-BK7 aspheric lens that is specifically designed for precision optics applications. This innovative lens has been engineered to provide exceptional performance for a range of optical tasks, including the accurate focusing of light incident on the aspheric side without any spherical aberration, and for collimation when light is incident on the plano side.
Manufactured using the latest computer numerical control (CNC) technology, the AL7560-C aspheric lens is expertly crafted to deliver near-diffraction-limited performance, even at large diameters of 10mm or greater. This state-of-the-art production process ensures that each lens is ground and polished with precision, resulting in a high-quality product that is built to last. The AL7560-C features a Ø75 lens, combined with a high numerical aperture (NA) of 0.62, which enables it to provide exceptional light-gathering ability while minimizing spherical aberration. The result is a lens that delivers crystal-clear, distortion-free images with outstanding accuracy and precision.
To further enhance its performance, the AL7560-C is equipped with a broadband anti-reflective (AR) coating, which provides less than 0.5% average reflectance (per surface) in the 1050-1700 nm range. This coating works in tandem with the high-transmission N-BK7 material used in the lens construction, to ensure that the lens delivers optimal results across the entire visible and near-infrared spectrum. Designed with practicality in mind, the AL7560-C can be mounted within a lens tube assembly using a compatible standard retaining ring. For high-curvature lenses, extra-thick retaining rings are available to make mounting even easier.
Each AL7560-C lens undergoes rigorous testing and verification using the latest NewView™, Zygo Verifire™, and GPI™ interferometers. These advanced measurement tools generate a three-dimensional map to view the optical surfaces of the lens, providing valuable data on its performance and ensuring that each lens meets the highest quality standards.
