The BS008 by ThorLabs is a top-of-the-line non-polarizing beamsplitter cube that is designed to provide users with exceptional performance and versatility. The BS008 has a 50:50 beam splitting ratio, making it hugely helpful for a multitude of applications, and is also relatively insensitive to the polarization of incident light.

The BS008 is built to last, featuring a N-BK7 material that ensures maximum durability and reliability. This beamsplitter cube is specifically designed to minimize the beam offset and delivers great results with only one reflecting surface, eliminating any ghost images in the process. One of the key features of the BS008 is its broadband AR and beamsplitter coating, which has been specifically designed for the 700 nm - 1100 nm range. This coating is applied to the hypotenuse of one of the two prisms that make up the cube, ensuring that the split is clean and accurate. The BS008 design includes arrows that show the way the light beam travels through its beam splitter layer. Moreover, all the other sides of the AR-coated surfaces allow light to pass through, however; the best specifications are guaranteed only when it is incident on the side of the beamsplitter coating.
