The BS010 by ThorLabs is a superior quality non-polarizing beamsplitter cube that has been designed to meet the needs of professionals seeking reliable optical components. The BS010 comes with a broadband AR coating that has been specially engineered for the 400 nm - 700 nm wavelength range, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications. The BS010 boasts a 50:50 beam splitting ratio, which ensures that there is minimal dependence on the polarization of the incident light. Measuring 10mm in size, this beamsplitter cube has been fabricated from N-BK7 substrate, ensuring excellent performance and durability.

The BS010 has been designed to minimize beam offset, with a single reflecting surface that avoids ghost images. To ensure maximum efficiency and precision, the hypotenuse of one of the cube’s prisms is coated with a dielectric beam splitter coating. Then, cement is used to bind the two prism halves together, ensuring the beamsplitter cube is sturdy and long-lasting. The BS010 is engraved with arrows that indicate the direction in which the beam is incident on the beamsplitter coating layer, making it easy to use and ensuring reliable performance. Although light can enter through any of the other AR-coated surfaces, specifications are guaranteed when light is first incident on the side of the beamsplitter coating.
