The BS011 by ThorLabs is a top-of-the-line non-polarizing beamsplitter cube that features a broadband AR coating specifically designed for the 700 nm - 1100 nm range, as well as a broadband beamsplitter coating on the internal diagonal surface. With a 50:50 beamsplitting ratio and minimal dependence on the polarization of the incident light, the BS011 is an ideal choice for a wide range of applications.

Crafted from premium N-BK7 substrate, the BS011 boasts exceptional durability and reliability. Designed for minimal beam offset, the cube features a single reflecting surface that effectively avoids ghost images. To achieve optimal performance, the dielectric beamsplitter coating is expertly applied to the hypotenuse of one of the two prisms that make up the cube. Then, precision cement is used to bind the two prism halves together for a flawless finish.

One of the key advantages of the BS011 is its user-friendly design. Visible arrows on the cube clearly indicate the direction of the light that hits the coating layer of the beamsplitter. All AR-coated surfaces will allow light to pass through, however an added safeguard is when light initially enters the beamsplitter coating on one side. This ensures that all specifications are kept intact. With a compact size of just 10 mm, the BS011 is also incredibly easy to handle and install.
