With a positive focal length of 30 mm and a near-best-form shape for both infinite and finite conjugate applications, this lens is versatile and suitable for a wide range of optical setups. One of the key features of the LA1289-A is its ability to focus a collimated beam or collimate light from a point source. To minimize spherical aberration, it is recommended to use a collimated light source incident on the curved surface of the lens for focusing, and a point light source incident on the planar surface for collimation.
