The LB1450-A by ThorLabs is a bi-convex lens, a premium quality optical component fabricated from N-BK7, and optimized for a variety of finite imaging applications. Featuring an antireflection coating on both sides, the LB1450-A is designed to provide optimal performance in the 350 nm - 750 nm range. N-BK7 is the preferred material for high-quality optical components due to its excellent transmission characteristics into the UV, and its lower coefficient of thermal expansion. It is typically selected when the additional benefits of UV fused silica are not required.

The LB1450-A is an ideal solution for imaging applications which involves focusing on objects and images located on opposite sides of the lens. Furthermore, the ratio between the object distance and image distance also lies within 0.2 to 5. The LB1450-A has a focal length of 20.00 mm and a size of Ø1/2", making it a compact and versatile component for use in a wide range of optical systems. Because the LB1450-A is coated, it produces a larger amount of reflected light in comparison to other uncoated bi-convex lenses.
