The LD1464-C by ThorLabs is an excellent bi-concave lens that is ideal for reducing the amount of light reflected from the surface of the lens. The LD1464-C has a fabrication made of a N-BK7 substrate and features a broadband antireflection (AR) coating that coats the lens on both sides.
The LD1464-C is AR-coated for the 1050 nm - 1700 nm range and has a spherical surface irregularity of λ/4. One of the standout features of the LD1464-C is its negative focal length of -50.0 mm, which makes it ideal for the divergence of a converging beam. This lens is ideal for Galilean-type beam expanders due to its capability of diverging a collimated beam to a virtual focus. Another advantage of this lens is its N-BK7 substrate, which exhibits a lower dispersion than other substrates due to its Abbe Number of 64.17.
