The LD1903-A by ThorLabs is a high-quality bi-concave lens that is widely used to increase the divergence of converging light. The LD1903-A is specifically designed to provide excellent optical performance, thanks to its negative focal length of -30.0 and substrate made of BK7 material.

One of the standout features of the LD1903-A lens is its advanced, multi-layer anti-reflective (AR) coating. This coating is carefully designed to minimize surface reflections within the wavelength range of 350 nm - 650 nm. Furthermore, the LD1903-A lens features an A coating, which is optimized for angles of incidence between 0° and 30° (0.5 NA) and a 0° design angle of incidence. The lens has an R < 0.5% average over band at 0° incidence, as well as reduced angular sensitivity within the angular range. The LD1903-A has a diameter tolerance of +0.00/-0.10mm, a focal length tolerance of ±1%, a scratch/dig value of 40/20, and a centration value of ≤3arcmin, ensuring that the optical axis is aligned precisely with the mechanical axis. Finally, the lens boasts >90% of clear aperture.
