The NE210B by ThorLabs is a the top-of-the-line absorptive ND (neutral density) filter that comes in a 2” x 2” size, designed specifically for low power applications. With its remarkable optical density of 1.0, the NE210B ensures superior performance that outperforms other filters in the market.
The NE210B is engineered with absorptive glass that reduces the production of multiple reflections. The filter is fabricated from a Schott glass substrate, selected because in the visible region from 400 nm to 650 nm, it has an absorption coefficient that is spectrally flat. It is important to note that there can be variations between different glass substrates, and therefore, it is recommended for the filter to be calibrated in the user’s setup before taking qualitative measurements. One of the key features of the NE210B is its direct compatibility with a variety of fixed filter mounts. Although the filter does not come mounted, its direct compatibility allows for easy and seamless integration into your existing setup.
