The NE40A is mounted in a SM1-threaded lens tube and boast a diameter of 25 mm. The housing of the filter is conveniently engraved with both the part number and optical density. Additionally, the NE40A is directly compatible with a variety of optomechanical parts made of a rigid construction, such as lens tube accessories and cage systems, providing the user with versatile options for optical system configurations. The NE40A stands out for its Schott glass substrate, which offers exceptional spectral flatness in the 400-650nm visible range. Its absorption coefficients are expertly selected to ensure reliable performance. This sets it apart from its reflective and metallic counterparts, ensuring reliable and consistent performance. If needed, the filter can be easily removed from its housing by unscrewing the retaining ring with a compatible spanner wrench, allowing for flexibility in filter usage and customization.
