ThorLabs AD15F

The AD15F by ThorLabs is a SM1-threaded adapter, an essential tool designed to mount collimators and cylindrical components with a diameter range of Ø3.5 to Ø16 mm. The AD15F is specially designed to work with SM1-compatible mounts, lens tubes, and cage systems.

The AD15F boasts external SM1 threads and a double-bored center hole, which ensures maximum stability and ease of use during the installation process. Furthermore, the adapters come with nylon-tipped set screws that are specifically made to secure the collimation package against two points of contact established by the double bore. To ensure accuracy, the collimation package has to be precisely positioned so that its optical axis is perfectly aligned with the center of the SM1-compatible mount.

One of the standout features of the AD15F adapter is its compatibility with various collimators, laser diode modules, and hexagonal light mixing rods. This makes it an incredibly versatile adapter that is suitable for use across a broad range of applications.
