The 5 mm stainless steel top and bottom skins, along with the all-steel side panels, are bonded together to increase thermal stability and provide a solid foundation for your experiment. The B2436F also boasts an automated orbital machined matte finish that has been significantly smoothed and flattened. This improved surface finish provides ±0.1 mm (±0.004") flatness over any 600 mm x 600 mm area, giving you a stable and reliable platform for your setup. Large radius corners have been incorporated into the design for lab safety, reducing the risk of sharp edges.

The core of the B2436F is geometrically formed and features a honeycomb design that extends from the top skin to the bottom skin without intermediate layers. This results in a stiffer and more thermally stable product, as steel components expand and contract similarly in all axes. Steel side panels are used instead of wood to eliminate the risk of environmental instability due to moisture.
