The KC2 by ThorLabs is a highly advanced and precision-engineered mirror mount that has been designed to provide exceptional kinematic tip and tilt adjustment for a Ø2" (Ø50.8 mm) optic. The KC2 has been created with the aim of integrating the functionality of a kinematic optic mount into 60 mm cage systems with ease, making it an essential component for constructing large optomechanical systems.
The KC2 provides high flexibility and accurate alignment. The KC2 is equipped with a nylon-tipped setscrew, which allows for the secure locking of optics using a 5/64" (2 mm) hex key or balldriver. Moreover, the KC2 features four through holes that are compatible with ER cage rods and has four setscrews that enable them to be locked into place using a 0.050" hex key or balldriver. The KC2's exceptional kinematic tip and tilt adjustment allows for ±3° of movement and is actuated with three 100 TPI (Threads Per Inch) adjustment screws, resulting in smooth, high-resolution movement. The mirror mount also includes a locking collar design and removable knobs, which make adjustments easy and precise.
