The KM200S by ThorLabs is a reliable and versatile kinematic mount designed to securely hold tall rectangular optics with a thickness of at least 3.0 mm (0.12"). Constructed from durable black anodized aluminum, the KM200S features hardened steel inserts strategically placed at kinematic contact points to minimize wear, ensuring long-lasting performance.

With a ±3° tip/tilt adjustment range and 5 mrad per adjuster revolution, the KM200S offers precise control for optimal alignment of square metallic or dielectric mirrors, as well as diffraction gratings. This right-handed mount utilizes a nylon-tipped 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex setscrew and a flexure clamp mechanism to securely hold the optic in place. The setscrew presses the flexure clamp against the edge of the optic, creating a reliable area of contact for maximum stability.

The KM200S is designed for easy installation, featuring two 1/4"-80 adjusters for convenient tip/tilt adjustment and six #8 (M4) counterbored holes for easy mounting to our Ø1/2" posts. For added convenience, one 8-32 cap screw and one M4 cap screw are included with the KM200S. To further enhance usability, a compatible bronze locking nut can be used to lock the adjusters once the desired position is reached, providing additional stability. For finer actuator control, a compatible large-diameter knob can be used, and for high-resolution control, a compatible piezo inertia actuator is available.
