The ThorLabs KS3 is a top-of-the-line precision kinematic mirror mount that is designed to accommodate Ø3" (or Ø75 mm) and Ø4" optics with remarkable ease and versatility. The KS3 offers exceptional ±4° of pitch and yaw adjustment, ensuring that optical elements are perfectly aligned to the user’s exact specifications.

The KS3 has achieved such remarkable results due to its sturdy structure and engineering. It features more robust springs as well as hardened elements in all contacting locations. This special design boosts the overall functioning of the support and ensures its lasting stability. Additionally, the lockable adjusters with a thicker back plate and stiffer springs minimize drift, making it ideal for long-term stable operation. The KS3 boasts two 1/4"-80 TPI, lockable adjusters that offer ±4º of angular adjustment. The smooth adjustment is provided by stainless steel lead adjuster screws with brass bushings, making it easy to achieve the desired alignment. The mount also includes four #8 (M4) counterbored mounting holes that allow for post mounting in either left- or right-handed orientations, providing flexibility in setup and installation.

For the Ø4" KS3 optical element, kinematic mounts are available with side optic retention via a nylon-tipped set screw. This feature allows for quick and secure optical element changes, ensuring that the user can focus on their tasks without worrying about alignment. Finally, the KS3 is fabricated from black anodized aluminum, ensuring that it is lightweight and durable.
