The KS4 by Thorlabs is a precision kinematic mirror mount that offers exceptional stability and performance. The KS4 has been created to accommodate Ø4" optics in addition to housing the ability to provide ±4° of pitch and yaw adjustment, making it a reliable and efficient option for a variety of applications.

The KS4 has been constructed with a rigid mechanical design with stiffer springs and hardened inserts at all contact points which enables the mount to achieve long-term stability alongside enhance its overall performance. The increased mass of the KS4 also plays a crucial role in maintaining its stability. With two 1/4"-80 TPI, lockable adjusters, the KS4 offers a remarkable ±4º of angular adjustment. The mount features stainless steel lead adjuster screws with brass bushings, which provide a smooth adjustment experience. The KS4 also comes equipped with four #8 (M4) counterbored mounting holes, enabling post mounting in either left-handed or right-handed orientations.

The KS4 incorporates a thick back plate and heavy-duty springs that significantly increase its stability, making it a dependable option for various applications. Fabricated with black anodized aluminum, the mount is designed to be both durable and long-lasting. Furthermore, hardened stainless steel inserts are available at kinematic contacts to minimize wear of the mount. The KS4 ensures secure mounting of optics by providing double-bored holes with nylon-tipped set screws. This feature ensures that the optics are firmly held in place, providing optimal performance.
