The LCP6S by ThorLabs is a highly versatile SM2-threaded cage plate designed for precise and flexible optomechanical systems. Built to accommodate Ø2" optics and SM2-threaded components, this cage plate is a reliable choice for constructing large optomechanical systems. The LCP6S has thinner profile compared to other 60 mm cage plates, measuring just 6 mm thick. The SM2-threaded bore located at the center of the plate is compatible with SM2-threaded optomechanical components.

To ensure that an optic stays securely in place, the LCP6S is compatible with a SM2RR retaining ring that can be used to secure an optic against the internal lip of the cage plate. The SM2RR retaining ring features a clear aperture of Ø1.90" (Ø48.5 mm) and a thickness of 0.1" (2.5 mm), allowing for close spacing of optical components within a cage system. The cage rod through holes on the LCP6S feature side-located locking M4 setscrews that can be easily secured using a 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex key.
