The LM2-A optical carriage is nested inside the LM2-B/M mounting ring, offering a full 360 degrees of continuous rotation for the user’s Ø2" optics. The optic bore of each carriage features internal SM2 (2.035"-40) threading and can accommodate an optic up to 0.46" (11.7 mm) thick, along with an LM2-B/M retaining ring and optic in an SM2-threaded housing. The carriage attaches to the main body of the mount using a thumbscrew, which can be easily loosened to remove the carriage from the mount.
The LM2-B/M compatible carriage features a 360° laser-engraved scale marked at 2° increments, ensuring precise, repeatable positioning of an optic. The top-located thumbscrew can be tightened to lock the rotation of the optic carriage, providing a stable, three-point contact to hold the optic carriage firmly in place. Furthermore, the double bore on the mount helps maintain stability and ensures a secure grip on the optic. When properly fastened in the LM2-B/M by the thumbscrew, the LM2-A optic axis is positioned 36.8 mm above the top of the post. This ensures a reliable, stable platform for the optic, making it the perfect tool for precision optics applications.
