The MB3045/M has been finished with a minimally reflective, black anodized coating, which ensures that light does not interfere with experimental results. The breadboard is through-drilled with a metric 25 mm hole pattern offset 12.5 mm from the edge of the board, allowing for components to be mounted on both sides simultaneously. This feature makes it ideal for compact designs, reducing the need for additional hardware or mounting platforms.

With a thickness of 12.7 mm, the MB3045/M is both lightweight and durable. The breadboard features five different mounting holes that are offset from the array of threaded holes that are sized 1/4"-20 (M6), giving the surface an uninterrupted look and making it suitable for various applications. The breadboard has four standard mounting holes situated 25 mm inward from each corner of the board. A counterbored mounting hole at the center of the board offers ease and flexibility when it comes to mounting heavier loads. It also decreases the stress on corner mounting holes, boosting the overall rigidity of the board.
