The PBH11115 by ThorLabs is the ultimate Performance Series optical breadboard designed to provide a stable platform for optical and laser experiments in laboratory environments. This top-of-the-line breadboard is also ideal for a range of less demanding applications.
Constructed with an all-steel material, the PBH11115 features a stainless steel top and bottom plate that are both magnetic. The top plate is 3/16" (5 mm) thick with a brushed finish, while the bottom plate is 3/16" (5 mm) thick without the brushed finish. The sophisticated material used and the thermal bonding process applied to this breadboard ensures remarkable surface flatness of ±0.004" (±0.10 mm) across any 1 ft2 (0.3 m2) expanse.
The PBH11115 also comes equipped with a plated steel honeycomb core and internal damping for both static and dynamic rigidity. With an athermalized design, the breadboard is optimized for thermal stability, providing minimal deflection even under load. For optimal stability, the PBH11115 can be paired with a rigid support frame to create an elevated surface. The breadboard also features holes compatible with M6 spacing on 25 mm centers, making it easy to attach to the frame.
