The PH4 by ThorLabs is a versatile post holder designed for efficient and versatile post mounting that is stable. The PH4 features a wide, square relief cut that provides two lines of contact. Additionally, an aluminum thumbscrew has a spring-loaded plunger that allows the post holder to securely hold a steel post before final tightening. This innovative design enables one-handed positioning of post-mounted devices.
The PH4 is equipped with a 1/4"-20 (M6) tapped hole on the bottom, which allows it to be attached to a variety of mounting bases. The 3/16" spring-loaded hex-locking thumbscrew holds the post in place before tightening. To ensure optimal performance, the PH4 comes with a maximum torque of 28 in·lbs (3.2 N·m) for the hex-locking thumbscrew, which should not be exceeded during use.
