The PJ301 by ThorLabs is a versatile centered mounting post joist that offers an innovative space-saving solution for crowded optical tables or breadboards. The PJ301 can provide a valuable mounting option, allowing multiple optics to be mounted close together on a single joist. With its compatibility with Ø1/2” and Ø1” posts, this joist eliminates the need for multiple posts and post holders.

The PJ301 is designed to enable centered mounting, providing flexibility for optics to be placed on both sides of the post center. Its centered #8 (M4) counterbore for post mounting and two #8 (M4) counterbored slots for mounting optomechanical components make it easy to mount and adjust optical components with precision. This joist allows an optic to be offset by 0.40" - 1.40" (10.16 mm - 35.56 mm) from the post center, offering an ideal solution for mounting optics that require specific spacing or alignment. Moreover, the PJ301 can also offset a post from the mounted optic, which is especially useful for squeezing the optic into tight spaces.
