The SCL04 by ThorLabs is an innovative and versatile self-centering lens mount that offers a simple yet effective solution for handling optics of varying sizes. With its three spring-loaded fingers, the SCL04 can securely grip optics ranging from Ø0.15" (3.8 mm) to Ø3.00" (76.2 mm), making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The SCL04 boasts a unique ring design that centers the optic within the mount, ensuring optimal alignment and precision. This feature is especially useful in applications that require high levels of accuracy and repeatability. Additionally, the SCL04 has a bottom-located 8-32 (M4) tap that allows for direct fastening to Ø1/2" posts, simplifying the mounting process.

The SCL04 is designed for ease of use, with its spring-loaded fingers allowing for quick and easy insertion and removal of optics. The actuator tabs can be easily pinched with one hand, opening the fingers and allowing the optic to be placed between them. Upon release, the spring-loaded fingers firmly grip the optic while the ring design centers it, ensuring a secure and stable hold. Notably, the SCL04 can be used with replacement Delrin fingers to form an optics cleaning fixture and provides a large, clear aperture.
