The SM1RC/M by ThorLabs is a slip ring designed to enable post mounting of lens tube systems. The SM1RC/M ensures smooth lens tube mounting by allowing the lens tube to pass through the center of the ring’s clear aperture. Unlike traditional lens tube clamps that require drop in installation and removal of lens tubes, this slip ring offers a hassle-free alternative.
The SM1RC/M mounts optical lens tube systems though securing the lens tube with a locking screw after passing it thorough the mounting ring. The locking screw is located along the mount’s top surface for easy access, making it simple to adjust and secure the lens tube in place. The SM1RC/M slip ring is designed to work seamlessly with compatible Ø1/2" posts with a bottom-located 8-32 (M4) tap, ensuring compatibility with most optical systems. Moreover, this slip ring boasts flat sides that conserve space, making it optimal for use in tight-space applications.
