The SM2RC by ThorLabs is a slip ring is the ideal solution for securely mounting preassembled optical lens tube systems. Designed with convenience in mind, the SM2RC allows for easy mounting by passing the lens tube through the mounting ring and securing it with a locking screw. Additionally, the locking screw is conveniently located on the top surface of the mount.
One of the key benefits of the SM2RC is its versatility. It can be mounted to a Ø1/2" post, as well as other posts or rigid construction components, through the bottom-located 8-32 (M4) tap. The slip ring's flat sides and small inner diameter of 2.21" (56.0 mm) are particularly helpful in conserving space, making it a great option for applications where real estate is at a premium.
