The XT66D2-50 by ThorLabs is a premium mounting platform designed to provide exceptional performance and durability. The XT66D2-50 features a 66 mm dovetail on the underside, making it compatible with 66 mm rail clamps/brackets, mounting platforms, and MPP series posts for rigid stands.

The XT66D2-50 can be used to attach posts, post holders, or pedestal posts to a 66 mm rail. Its compact size and three 1/4" (M6) mounting counterbores, each measuring 50 mm in length, allow the user to mount up to three components directly onto Ø1/2" or two components with a Ø1/2" post holder placed in close proximity. The counterbored holes on this mounting platform are also compatible with cap screws, making it a versatile and convenient solution for mounting different types of components. One of the key advantages of the XT66D2-50 is its ability to enable quick and easy insertion and removal of mounts from an optical path. This feature is especially useful in applications where components need to be frequently replaced or adjusted.
