The AD9.5F by ThorLabs is an advanced SM1-threaded adapter that is designed to meet the mounting needs of optical components with Ø9.5 mm smooth bore diameter. With its innovative design, the AD9.5F ensures precise alignment of collimators and cylindrical components in SM1-compatible mounts, lens tubes, and cage systems, making it an ideal solution for precision optical applications.

The AD9.5F adapter features external SM1 threads and a double-bored center hole, which allows it to be compatible with components that have diameters ranging from Ø3.5 to Ø16 mm. The adapter's design also ensures that the component is centered with respect to the outer diameter of the adapter, allowing for optimal performance and alignment. The AD9.5F offers even more convenience with its 1/16" (1.5 mm) hex setscrew that comes with a nylon tip, which can be used to fasten the collimation package against two contact points created by the double bore so as to guarantee perfect alignment with the center of an SM1-competible mount. The adapter also features holes on opposing sides of the central hole that are mechanically compatible with various spanner wrenches.
